New Classes with Sensei Rowan & Big October Promotion!
Hi all,
As you know from seeing me (Rowan) around (then not seeing me, then seeing me again!) that last year I worked full time for Sensei Tad and Aikido Shoshinkan helping out after our chief instructor”s operation. This year I had the amazing opportunity of teaching English in Brazil so unfortunately I haven’t been involved with the club as much as I would like this year. However, I missed you all so much and have returned seeking your help! I am starting NEW AIKIDO CLASSES (see below) for all ages and abilities and need all the support I can get from you all in getting these up and running and beginning my career in aikido!
THE BIG NEWS:
Aikido is my passion and I would personally appreciate it greatly if you can support me in any way possible whether it be attendance, sharing the news, or anything else that may benefit me in pursuing my goals!
See below for all the information you need:
EVERY TUESDAY: (Returning Adult Class + NEW CADETTES)
This is a class that is making a comeback after low numbers meant it had to stop. I am personally bringing this class back every week with added enthusiasm and energy. These classes will be a mix of a solidifying of the basics of Aikido and a look at Uke’s role and how to make our Aikido and fluid and dynamic as possible. The time starts half an hour later than it previously did to allow extra time for those travelling from work and struggle to make a 7 o’clock start. Arrive ready as these will be vigorous classes with lots of sweating!
This class will also open for all the juniors who are 11 years and above OR juniors who have attained the “Purple Belt” in junior class. Who will be moving on to the newly introduced Cadette classes. The aim of this level is to close the gap between the junior and adult class but the cadettes are training with the people of their own physical ability, focusing on more strict and dynamic syllabus.
(IMPORTANT NOTICE : Please make sure you check if you are eligible with sensei Tad before coming)
There will be more details on the belts and details of the Cadette syllabus at later date but at this time it will provide a tough training that will strengthen the student physically and will expose them to an adult class environment with other adult students in attendance.
EVERY WEDNESDAY: (New Junior Class)
This is an exciting new class opening up at the Sneinton Dojo for the KIDS. This will be the clubs first weekly junior class at this location and all beginners are welcome! With the class being directly before a beginners adult class it is perfect to help bridge the gap between junior and adult levels as the formers (if deemed ready) are welcome to stay for the first hour of adult training too as they grow up. Everyone of all abilities are encouraged to come to this class as it is intended to be a fun class that can benefit all levels.
