Weekly Bulletin 9th April 2018

Hello Everyone

I hope you are well. It is now less than 4 weeks to the big day of Joe Thambu Shihah seminar. We are now starting the count down to one of the main events of the year. If you are interested please register yourself as soon as possible before the spaces are gone. For further details please check the details below.

Here is more of what is coming this week….

HIGH GRADE JUNIOR LEAGUE RESULT AND PRESENTATION

The result of the first Junior Jiyuwaza League has now finished and the result has been announced as well as the first junior ranking so far. Please click on the link below for the details.

Junior Jiyuwaza League March 2018

We are going to do the league result presentation this weekend, so if you are the top 3 people please make sure you come to the second class of Saturday class. We have certificates and a star badge to present for you.

Going forward we are looking to carry on with this event every 3 months, and with every event, we will accumulate the points from the previous ones, and we aim to create the overall ranking of the year. At the end it will lead to seeding the entries for the Nottingham Jiyuwaza Tournament 2018. I am hoping this will get everyone excited and keep them motivated for the coming months.

JOE THAMBU SHIHAN NOTTINGHAM SEMINAR (5th – 6th May)

On May 5th-6th 2018, we are lucky to be hosting Aikido Shudokan’s Chief Instructor, Joe Thambu Shihan (8th dan). Anyone who has met Sensei Joe will agree with me that he is not only an exceptional teacher, but he also heads our organisation as we stand under his and Shudokan’s tutelage so this is a fantastic chance to see the very high standards we have set for us with your very own eyes first hand!

There will be a total of 12 hours training over this weekend with training times from 10:00am – 4:00pm on both days. You can attend the weekend for £80, or just one day of your choice for £50. However, we heavily advise you to opt for the full weekend as it is not often we have teachers of such calibre at our doorstep.

Being based in Australia, anytime Sensei Joe comes to Europe it would be a shame not to see him. The world renowned instructor often has people travelling half way across the planet to be taught by him and we should not take lightly the fact that this time he is coming to us!

JOE THAMBU SHIHAN JUNIOR SEMINAR (5th – 6th May)

On the same days as the adults seminars we are also doing a junior Aikido seminar with the juniors for 1 and a half each morning. It is a real rare opportunity for any juniors to be taught by one of the best Aikido instructors in the world. So please don’t miss this opportunity.

The seminar is 10am – 11:30am. for both days and it is £15 per session. £30 for both days.

If you are interested please let us know. We will be taking registers over the next month.

JOE THAMBU SHIHAN’s EXTRA CLASSES

If you register for the seminar for the weekend, you will also be able to attend the regular class during the same week, where Joe sensei will be taking some of the classes. This will be available for people who are coming to the seminar for FREE! If you are not registered each session will cost £30 and this will only be available on the following days. This is only available for Adults only not for the juniors. ( sorry!)
