Dunkirk Primary School are our 1st “Inter-School Champions”
On the cold Sunday afternoon on 2nd December, 4 schools from Nottingham and Derby afterschool clubs took part on the 1st Annual Aikido Shoshinkan Public Demonstration. 2 Schools from Nottingham were, Dunkirk Primary School and Radford Primary School. The other 2 schools from Derby were Derby High School and Little Eaton Primary school. With over 80 children taking part, they were going for the first “Inter-school Championship” to demonstrate the best overall demonstration between the schools.
All the juniors showed a great courage and skills in front of all the parents and audience of over 400 people. The school performances were judged by 6 masters of Aikido from around the world headed by Joe Thambu shihan from Australia. It was an extremely close competition, but Dunkirk Primary school B (Wednesday After School Class) came on top as our first Inter-school Champions.
Congratulations to all the Dunkirk Primary School winners, and also a big congratulations to all the other school participants who took part in the demonstration for showing a great spirit and courage to perform brilliantly in front of such a big crowd.
