Samurai Summer Camp 2014
We are hosting another exciting event for Juniors this Summer, and “Samurai Summer Camp” is back with ever popular demand!
The event this year will be our 3rd Annual “Samurai Summer Camp”, and this one is looking to be the best one yet!
Children will be camping in the woods of Derby experiencing the samurai life, of living with the fellow Aikido juniors and partaking in Aikido lessons, exciting outdoor activities such as “Ninja Wall Climbing”, archery, Abseiling and more… To really get stuck in like a samurai we will be building a samurai armour and swords to prepare for the final epic battle of “Samurais and Ninjas”.
We are holding the event on the weekend of 1st – 3rd of August at Drumhill campsite in Little Eaton, Derby. (30mins drive from Nottingham) There will be aikido classes and also activities hosted by the local campsite such as archery and pioneering to get children involved in samurai like activities.
We know under the current economic circumstances it may be challenging for some people to take their kids away this year so we have searched around for a great activity weekend themed around Aikido!
Also as the school summer holiday is a long break and children need to have their time filled constructively the long weekend can be used as compliment to the main family holiday.
The cost for the event will be £130 per child for 3 days including the food and drinks. The only thing we would ask of your children is sleeping bag, change of clothes, and the transport to the venue.
The place is limited to 20 places on first come first served basis. And unfortunately there is an age restriction of 8 years and above. (Due to age restirctions on activities at the campsite.)
We understand that this is not a cheap event. So we accept installments paid on the following schedule dates
• First installment £50 : 31st April
• Second installment £40 : 31st May
• Second installment £40 : 31st June
Please make the cheque payable to Tadashi Narita.
For cancellation we will refund the 70% of the full amount. (£45 is non-refundable)
Upon the completion of the camp your children will receive an extra tag for training, and a certificate of completion.
I hope everyone is excited as we are about this event, as this is our first major event we are orgnanising for the Shoshinkan Juniors, and hopefully one of many to come in the future. If you are interested please fill the application form provided and send it back via email to [email protected] .We will start the registration from next week.
If you have any questions please let me know. I hope to send out the full itinerary soon, and look forward to hearing from you all.
Kind regards
